Summer-time Adventures

We watched our newphews for the afternoon on Friday, and decided to go play basketball at Grandma and Pappo's house- so Lilly and I were the cheerleaders, and this is Lilly's personalized cheer for Tye and Riley,   a big wet raspberry :)

Lilly loves to be outside- she was smiling allllll day!

We go to the pool most weekends in summer with Jason's family- and this was Lilly's second trip but first time in the water!  Jason's cousin Ashley took her for a swim and Lilly loved the water.  I knew she would because she loves her bath time, and loves the sound of water running and splashing.  We got so many comments from the other people there about how cute she is!   I was (and am!)  a proud mommy :) 

One more outfit change!  She has so many summer clothes, i just change her for fun- and of course we had some ooh's and ahh's for this one too- she makes anything adorable!!  She was so worn out after swimming, she slept all afternoon!

My cousin Tye fed me my night time snack... he is so nice to me!

Just got this great new toy- she loves it! They all say 4 months and up, but Lilly is a genius and her nick name is Super Woman ;) So, i just put a couple books under for her feet to rest on, and she's set! It took her a few tries to understand what was going on....and at first the swinging monkey and bird toys scared her, but now she loves it- and loves the music and lights. We went to our favorite resale shop, My Little Children, and got this one second hand for half the price of a new one, luckily, because they are not cheap! Well worth it though!

Lilly and Addison- friends forever!!

We are soo happy that we got to finally meet Addison and see our good friends Brooke, her sister Summer and her mom Cecelia again!!! Brooke and Addison live in Wisconsin and came all the way to eugene and luckily we had time to all get together :) Lilly and Addison had fun together- poking eachother in the eyes, comparing feet, all those fun things we adults don't find as interesting to do to eachother! But they loved it!





Addison is super cute and I can't believe Lilly is going to get big like her in a few short months!! Lilly wasn't too happy seeing me cuddle with another baby though... but she got over that and then they were friends :) Addison just finished having chemotherapy for her hemangioma and her dark brown hair has fallen out, and is now growing in blonde! Isn't she so cute?! :) We definitely have the cutest kids in the world!!!

Princess and the...BURP!

For some reason, i seem to film her bodily functions better than her smiles! I have her coughing, burping and sneezing, and my favorite....the poopy face! but no cooing! One of these days... :) This is her showing us how dainty she is.... BURRRRRRP!

She found it!!

She did it!!  She found her thumb and loves it!  I am excited that we wont have to keep puting a pacifier in her mouth- even though she loves that too.  Now we don't have to worry about losing it- her thumb will always be attached :)  The paci is still best for falling asleep though...

When I was little...

When i was little i used to sleep in the oddest places... the floor, a laundry basket with a blanket inside... and it looks like my little girl is going to take after me.  She didn't want to sleep in her bed this morning, or her swing...but the floor?  Sure mom! i LOVE the floor!!!

Lilly had her first shots on the 1st, when she was exactly 8 weeks old  (I can't believe she is eight weeks old...).  It was the saddest thing i've ever done- worse than the heal prick they do twice- at the hospital and the 2 week visit.  The shots made her SCREAM and now that she can make tears when she cries it is so sad to see those big old tears welling up in her eyes and running down her cheek as she looks at me like- why are you letting them do this to me mom!?!?  save me!!   But i know it was for the best- i don't want her to get sick or to pass a sickness to someone else's kids, so that is why we went. Then that night she could hardly sleep.  I layed her down at 8 o'clock when she fell asleep after her bottle, and 10 minutes later she woke up crying and crying and crying, not hungry, just crying.  I finally calmed her down and she fell asleep a good 45 minutes later,...then i saw her wake up like she had a bad dream- it was a sudden jolt awake and burst into tears.. again, not hungry, just crying.  This went on for, no joke, SEVEN hours- we were up until 3am, no sleep for either of us.  At one point she was cooing and wanted to play, i think that was around 1am.  I on the other hand was on the verge of tears trying to keep my eyes open... i think she has forgiven me for the shots though because last night she slept for 8 hours straight!

Lilly and I had some play time yesterday so we took pictures with her big duckie!  First i thought he'll hold her up he's squishy....but that definitely didn't work, so we got the big feeding pillow to hold up the duck who held up Lilly, who still tipped over a few times!  We finally got a good one though- upright and smiling!

Here is our little Princess girl- who isn't quite sure what a tiara is for!! But she sure does like sparkles :)

Her blue eyes are pretty sparkly too- and getting deeper blue every day it seems

OK mom...i like the shirt but i can't move my arms or legs!!!  This is her all Denim 80's look (Jason thinks she stepped right into the 80's in all denim)
